Setup & Operation
How do I use the Detachable Handles in the Cooking Set?
The handle uses a secure locking mechanism. Follow these steps:
To Attach:
- Press the release button located on top of the handle to open the locking mechanism.
- Align the jaw over the rim of your chosen pot, pan, or the indented slot on the grill plate.
- Squeeze the trigger underneath the handle fully until it locks into place with an audible 'click'.
- Always test the connection by gently lifting the pan before making any significant movements.
To Remove:
- Place the cookware securely on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Press the release button on top of the handle to open the jaw and detach it from the cookware.
Can I use the Cooking Set in an oven or over a campfire?
Yes, the die-cast aluminium cookware bodies are designed for these applications, but crucial safety rules must be followed:
- The pans and grill plate are oven-safe up to a maximum temperature of 400°C.
- The detachable handles and glass lids are NOT oven-safe and must be removed before placing cookware in an oven or over a direct campfire flame. Leaving them attached will cause permanent damage and create a safety hazard.
- Always use heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts when handling hot cookware that does not have the handle attached.
How do I prepare the cooking set for its first use?
Before the first use, it is important to wash all pots, pans, and lids in warm, soapy water with a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
How should I clean and maintain the cooking set?
To ensure a long service life and maintain the performance of the non-stick coating:
- Always let the cookware cool down completely before cleaning. Submerging hot cookware in cold water can cause thermal shock and warping.
- Wash with a soft cloth or sponge in warm, soapy water.
- Never use steel wool, abrasive scouring pads, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these will damage the coating.
- When stacking the cookware, use the included felt pot protectors between each piece to prevent scratches.
My Cooking Set handle doesn't feel secure. What should I do?
- Check Alignment: Ensure the handle's jaw is properly seated on the cookware rim before squeezing the trigger.
- Check Locking Mechanism: Make sure you are squeezing the trigger fully until you hear the 'click' that confirms it has locked.
- Check for Debris: Ensure the locking mechanism and the cookware rim are free of food residue or grime that could prevent a secure connection.
