What size solar panel should I use to get the most charge from the 40A MPPT Charger?
In order to generate the maximum 40A charge current, you would need to reach the below wattage via solar:
System Voltage | 12v | 24V | 32V | 48V |
Max. System Input Power | 600W | 1200W | 1800W | 2400W |
Please note: you can exceed the above watts in your solar bank, for example 750W of solar is fine for a 12v system, but the charger will only consume a maximum of 600W in this example.
Can you parallel two 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controllers?
Yes you can! If you decide to increase your battery bank down the road and would like to increase your charging capacity, you can link two 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controllers to bring your potential charging capacity up to 80A.
Please note: only like for like MPPT devices are compatible, you cannot combine a 20A and 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller in parallel.
