For full, unrestricted use of both cooking zones at maximum power, we recommend a 2000W or larger Pure Sine Wave Inverter.

However, the cooktop has an inverter-friendly gentle start feature that defaults to 800W on power-up. This means you can run it on a 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter in a pinch, as long as you carefully manage your zones to keep the total power draw below 1000W.

This cooktop is purpose-built for life on the road. Unlike household models that can overload smaller power systems, this KickAss cooktop is engineered with two key features for off-grid travel:

1. Gentle Start-up: It defaults to an 800W power draw on start-up, protecting your inverter from a sudden power surge.
2. Continuous Low-Level Heating: It provides steady, even heat at low settings instead of cycling on and off. This gives you better cooking control for simmering and warming, and is much kinder to your battery system.

Absolutely. The two zones operate completely independently. You have separate touch controls for the 1300W (left) and 1000W (right) zones, so you can boil water on one side while gently simmering a sauce on the other without any interference.

You get total control over your cooking. For each zone, you can choose between:

This cooktop requires induction-compatible cookware, which means it must have a flat, magnetic base. Good options include:
