Are the 12V water pumps self priming?
Yes they are! There is no on/off switch on the pump itself. The pumps will start and stop based on the pressure release and build up in the priming hose. Great for camping showers, sinks & toilets.
Do I need to fuse my 12V water pump?
Yes, both the 6L and 12L pumps should be installed with a 10amp fuse on the positive line.

Are the 6L and 12L Water Pumps waterproof?
The 6L and 12L Water Pumps do not have an IP rating. Due to their wiring, they should not be exposed to water, as this may cause the unit to short-circuit.
However, the 6L Portable Pump Pack and 12L Portable Pump Pack come with an enclosure designed to protect the internal components from water, dust, and rust.
Are the 6L and 12L Water Pumps suitable for drinking water?
The 6L and 12V Water Pumps are designed for delivering water to caravans, boats, 4WDs, and camping applications such as sinks and showers. They are not recommended for use with drinking water.
