What is the duty cycle feature of the AirMaster II?

The AirMaster II has a 100% duty cycle at 80 PSI and a 40°C ambient temperature. This means it is designed for continuous operation without the need for a cool-down period under these conditions, making it ideal for long and demanding inflation jobs.

Does the AirMaster II have dual outlets?

Yes. The Airmaster II compressor features two quick-connect outlets, allowing you to connect and inflate two tyres simultaneously. This is particularly useful for efficiently managing tyre pressures on vehicles, caravans, or trailers.

How do I power the Twin Outlet Air Compressor?

The compressor must only be connected to a 12V DC power source. You can do so two ways:

  1. Auxiliary Battery: Connect the power cable clamps directly to your 12V battery, observing correct polarity: red clamp to positive (+) and black clamp to negative (-).
  2. Starter Battery: Connect the power cable clamps directly to your 12V battery, observing correct polarity: red clamp to positive (+) and black clamp to negative (-). Always to start your vehicle's engine before operating the compressor. This prevents draining the starter battery and ensures the compressor receives optimal voltage.
Can the Air Compressor be permanently mounted?

Yes. The compressor can be used as a portable, free-standing unit or permanently mounted in a vehicle using the base plate with mounting points. 

How do I use the automatic inflation mode on the Airmaster II?

The automatic mode allows you to pre-set a target pressure for convenient, accurate inflation.

  1. Connect the compressor to your battery and attach the air hose.
  2. Press the UNIT button to cycle through and select your desired pressure unit (psi, kPa, bar, kg/cm²).
  3. Use the (+) and (–) buttons to set your target pressure. The display will flash the new value.
  4. Wait for the display to stop flashing, which confirms the target pressure is saved.
  5. Connect the hose to your desired equipment to inflate, selecting the appropriate inflation attachment. 
  6. Press the START/STOP button to begin inflation.
  7. The compressor will run and automatically shut off once the pre-set pressure is reached. 

Note: It is normal for the compressor to pause for 1-2 seconds multiple times during inflation. This allows the internal sensor to obtain an accurate pressure reading.

How do I use the manual inflation mode on the Airmaster II?

1. Connect air hose and appropriate attachment for inflating your equipment.

2. Press the START/STOP button to begin inflation.

3. Closely monitor the digital pressure gauge on the display.

4. Once your desired pressure is reached, press the START/STOP button again to stop the compressor.

Note: the default pressure setting is 35 PSI. 

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

How do I clean and maintain the AirMaster II?

Always disconnect the compressor from power and allow it to cool completely before performing maintenance.

  • Wipe the compressor body with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • The air filter should be checked periodically. To clean, remove it from its housing, blow it out with compressed air, or rinse gently with water. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinstalling. Never operate the compressor without the filter.
  • The motor is permanently lubricated and maintenance-free. Do not attempt to add oil or lubricate the unit.
  • Regularly inspect the air hose and power cable for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. 
  • Store the compressor in its carry bag in a clean, dry location away from extreme temperatures.
My AirMaster II Compressor won't start. What should I check?
  1. Power Connection: Ensure the battery clamps are securely connected to the correct battery terminals (red to +, black to -) with a clean, metal-to-metal contact.
  2. Battery Voltage: Check that your vehicle's battery has sufficient charge. Try starting the engine.
  3. Thermal Cut-Off: If the compressor was just used for a long period, the thermal protection may have activated. Allow the unit to cool for 10-15 minutes before attempting to restart.
Why is my AirMaster II running, but inflation is very slow?

This is typically caused by an air leak or a blockage.

  • Check all hose connections to ensure they are tight and secure.
  • Inspect the air hose for any kinks, punctures, or damage.
  • Check that the air filter is not clogged with dust or debris. Clean or replace it if necessary.
  • Ensure the tyre chuck is properly seated on the valve stem.
Why did my Air Master II stop suddenly during operation?

This is almost always due to the automatic thermal cut-off protection. The unit's internal temperature exceeded 105°C, causing it to shut down to prevent damage. Turn the compressor off, disconnect it, and let it cool down in a well-ventilated area for at least 15 minutes before resuming use.

Note: the compressor will stop intermittently during inflation to check the PSI level before automatically commencing. This is normal operation.
