Features & Specifications

What is the primary function of the 4-Tyre Hose & Gauge Kit?

This system is designed to save significant time and effort by allowing you to inflate (with compressor), deflate, or equalise the pressure across all four of your vehicle's tyres simultaneously. It ensures consistent and balanced tyre pressures, which is critical for vehicle handling, safety, and tyre longevity, especially when transitioning between bitumen and off-road tracks.

What is pressure equalisation and how fast is it?

Pressure equalisation is the process where the system automatically balances the air pressure between all connected tyres. Once all four tyre chucks are connected, the system will equalise the pressure across all tyres in as little as 15 seconds, ensuring they are all at the same PSI for optimal performance.

Setup & Operation

How do I set up the kit for inflation?
  1. Insert two AAA batteries into the back of the digital gauge.
  2. Attach the four-tyre hose kit to the outlets on the gauge manifold.
  3. Ensure the high-flow slide valve on the gauge is in the closed position.
  4. Securely attach each of the four tyre chucks to your vehicle's tyre valves.
  5. Connect the air inlet on the gauge to your KickAss Air Master II Compressor using the included compressor hose.
  6. Set your desired PSI on the compressor.
  7. Turn on your compressor and begin inflation. Monitor the pressure on the backlit digital gauge.
  8. Once the desired pressure is reached, the compressor will automatically shut off.
How do I use the kit for deflation?
  1. Ensure the slide valve on the gauge is initially in the closed position.
  2. Connect the hoses to the gauge first, then the four hose chucks securely to your tyre valves. Do not connect an air compressor.
  3.  The gauge will display the current equalised pressure of your tyres.
  4. To begin deflating, slide the release valve to the open position. Air will be released rapidly.
  5. Monitor the gauge and slide the valve back to the closed position when your desired PSI has been reached. The gauge will show the new static pressure.
  6. Repeat step 4 to continue deflating if required.
How do I operate the digital gauge controls?

Note: the gauge does not set pressure, it simply reads pressure.

  • The gauge will turn on automatically when it senses pressure. It will auto-shutoff after a period of inactivity to save battery.
  • Press the "UNIT" button to cycle through the available pressure units (PSI, KPA, BAR, KG/CM²).
  • Press the "SCREEN LIGHT" button to illuminate the LCD display for clear visibility in low-light or night conditions.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Why is the digital gauge not turning on?

This is typically due to depleted or incorrectly installed batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the gauge and replace the two AAA batteries, ensuring they are inserted with the correct polarity.

Note: batteries not included.

I'm hearing an air leak from one of the connections of the gauge and hoses. What should I do?

Air leaks will lead to inaccurate readings and inefficient operation. Check the following:

  • Ensure all tyre chucks are firmly and squarely seated on the tyre valve stems.
  • Verify that all threaded hose fittings on the manifold are hand-tight. Do not over-torque.
  • Inspect the O-rings and seals inside the quick-connect fittings for dirt, debris, or damage. Clean or replace if necessary.
Why does the pressure reading on the gauge seem inaccurate?
  1. Ensure there are no air leaks in the system. Even a small leak can affect the reading.
  2. Confirm that the slide valve is in the fully closed (pressure reading) position to get a static reading.
