Warranty Conditions

 

Australian Law

The KickAss warranty for all products is provided in addition to the other rights held by a consumer under Australian Law.

Under these laws you are entitled, as a consumer, to a replacement or refund if a product does not perform as it was advertised to, and for compensation of reasonable damages or losses incurred. You are also entitled to product replacement or repair if the products are deemed to not be usable or failure does not result in completely non-usable products.

Other Conditions

The first date of purchase is when the warranty period begins. Warranty periods will NOT be renewed or extended after a product repair or replacement.

  • You must produce the sales receipt of the product as proof of purchase when a warranty claim is made, otherwise, KickAss holds no liability to replace or repair a product.
  • Warranties are only offered to the original end user of the KickAss product. Warranties are not transferable to another party.
  • Warranty terms only apply to products purchased directly through KickAss or authorised resellers.

Warranty Exclusions

Conditions and warranties are excluded to the extent that they are permitted by law. The warranty conditions set out by KickAss are considered null and void if a defect, malfunction, or failure is caused by:

  • Negligence in following proper product installation, operation, or repair/maintenance instructions/protocols.
  • Use of a product for purposes other than those it was created or designed for.
  • Neglect, poor handling, and/or accidental damage.
  • Third-party alterations, repairs, and “mods”/modifications without the expressed written permission by KickAss.
  • Tampering or variations to product markings and labelling (e.g. warranty stickers, serial numbers, etc.).
  • Contaminations of products by foreign matter, foreign material, or other products.
  • Incorrect charging methods, such as overcharging and undercharging.
  • Commercial use

Costs Not Included Within The KickAss Warranty

  • Labour costs.
  • Transit costs (if the product must be sent back to KickAss).

Other Non-Included Warranty Items

  • Any property or personal damage/injury, direct/indirect loss, consequential losses, and supplementary expenses are excluded to the extent that they are permitted by law.
  • Changes in product condition or operational ability resulting from incorrect storage, fitting, application, maintenance, environment, or others as described and permitted by law.
  • Extreme weather conditions.

 

Return Policy

Change Of Mind / Item Is Unsuitable

If you have decided to return an item because you have changed your mind or feel as though the item is no longer suited to your 12V system, the item can be returned for an exchange, credit or refund, pending the following criteria are met:

  • The item is returned in a new, unused condition, complete with original packaging.
  • You notify us within 7 days of receiving the item that you wish to return it.

For Exchanges:

  • If the item is returned in new, unused condition with original packaging, a 10% restocking fee applies.
  • If the item is returned in unused condition without the original packaging, a 20% restocking fee applies.

For Credits:

  • If the item is returned in new, unused condition with original packaging, a 10% restocking fee applies.
  • If the item is returned in unused condition without the original packaging, a 20% restocking fee applies.

Conditions:

  1. The customer is required to cover postage costs to return-freight the item back to us.
  2. Original freight charges will not be refunded under any circumstance.

 

Item Not As Described

If you have decided to return an item because you feel that the item is not as described on our website (i.e. incorrect item dimensions, incorrect colour or model variance), you are required to provide evidence so that we can investigate your claim. If your claim is approved, and your claim meets the criteria below, all expenses (including freight) will be refunded to you in full.

Criteria:

The item is returned in a new, unused condition, complete with original packaging.

  • You notify us within 7 days of receiving the item that you wish to return it.

What if some items are damaged when I received them?

All items that leave either our warehouse, or our suppliers / manufacturers premises are adequately packed and sent in good working condition. Upon receiving your order, you must inspect it to ensure all items are included. If there is any damage, please contact us  within 48 hours of receipt of the item. If notice is not received within 48 hours, the customer is liable for return freight expenses on replacement items.

Please keep all original packing materials and documentation including the delivery consignment note. If the goods are visibly damaged on receipt, please have the driver make a note on the shipper’s consignment note and also take a photo of the damaged item/s.

Items that are Dead-On-Arrival, or DOA

For any product that is received and is found to not function at all (i.e. be dead-on-arrival) within 1-2 weeks of receiving the product, we will replace the product for free.
